JUST IN: Flames engulf home garage on Whyte Street
After the flames were doused, it was determined the tenants' vehicle and motorcycle had been reduced to ash.
A family of four were left devastated after their home was engulfed by flames during the early hours of this morning (August 2).

The tenant said the fire occurred at around 12am, and it was believed the fire had started in their garage.
The house itself did not sustain too much damage, but the garage however was completely destroyed.
“I was awoken by our dogs barking, and that is when I realised there was smoke coming from the garage. When I opened the front door, I saw flames coming from the garage. I then gathered our animals and my family and we exited the house from the back door in order to get to safety. The fire department was prompt and attempted to extinguish the flames as fast as possible,” said the tenant.

Fortunately no one was injured during the incident.
After the flames were doused, it was determined the tenants’ vehicle and motorcycle had been reduced to ash.
An official investigation has been launched to determine the exact cause of the fire.
