Rotary launches Interact Club at DHS

"The word Interact stands for international action.

The local Rotarians inducted the first members of the recently formed Dundee Interact Club at an inspirational event at the school last Wednesday.
Interact is a service organisation for high school students who desire to volunteer their time and aid schools and communities. Interact is an international organisation with the backing of Rotary.
“The word Interact stands for international action.
“The purpose of Interact is to provide an opportunity for young people to work together in a world fellowship dedicated to service and international understanding,” commented Rotarians, among them President Tish Coleman, past President Tony Coleman and Bev Garner who presided at the induction event.

A number of interested DHS teachers also attended.
The Interactors were badged and presented with certificates. The President of the Interact Club, Sphelele Hlongwane, delivered a very short speech, and then the learners were treated to the inspiration of Trisha Rajkumar, a local Miss Earth South Africa representative and community organiser.
