Former Vryheid High learner among the four shot dead in Nquthu
Their bodies were found near the road at Ntabezibomvu area in Nquthu.
THE police are still in search of assailants responsible for gunning down four men in Nquthu (among them, former Vryheid High School learner, Thembinkosi Zulu).
According to police spokesperson, Lt-Col Thulani Zwane, only one female, who was with the four, was left alive but badly injured after the assault that occurred in the Nquthu area.
“Three of the deceased are said to have been travelling in their vehicle when they were approached by unknown suspects who shot all three of them dead. Their bodies were found near the road at Ntabezibomvu area in Nquthu, ” said Col Zwane.

He went on to explain that the suspects allegedly took the vehicle and proceeded to the Mabaso homestead where they allegedly shot another man and an elderly woman. Both victims were seriously wounded and were taken to hospital.
The wounded man later died in hospital and the woman was treated in hospital.
Police at Nquthu are investigating four counts of murder and one of attempted murder.
