Golfers tee off at annual Newcastle Golf Day
Local golfers battled for top honours during 2nd HCW Brokers Golf Day
Dozens of keen golfers gathered at Newcastle Golf Club on Saturday morning for the second annual HCW Brokers-sponsored Golf Day.
Event organiser Paul Byrom said he was impressed by the turnout, and thanked all the sponsors and players who contributed to the day’s success.
He also gave special thanks to the sponsored water tables, which helped keep the players hydrated throughout the competition.
Congratulations to the top five teams:
- 1st: Chris Khanyile, Elred Darvall, Sheng-Po Tseng and Ethan Tseng on 50.84 nett;
- 2nd: N Foxcroft, R Foxcroft, Chey Hunter and Lize Smith on 51.33 nett;
- 3rd: Rob Pryde, Dick Lemmer, Eric Wright and Paul Byrom on 52.84 nett;
- 4th: Struan Wade, Ruan Horst, Anthony Beamson and Shaun Elliot on 53.66 nett;
- 5th: Richard Clayton, Carel le Roux, George Meyer and Arthur Maartens on 54.00 nett.
