DHS would like to congratulate the following six learners for getting through to the final round of the KZN youth choir auditions. Well done Lindo Radebe, Nompilo Mahaye, Andiswa Mthembu, Lithemba Mlangeni, Ethan Layland and Nompumelelo Khumalo. It is definitely not easy to get into this choir and it is lovely to see the amount of talent rising from this little town of ours.
DHS Girls’ Soccer
It has been an eventful week for the DHS soccer girls. Many games were played and the school is proud to announce that the girls are doing better with every game they play.
They played against Landbou, Ethangeni and Thalana. Their last game was against St Dominic’s Academy and they had an exceptional game finishing with a 3-0 win. The player of the match was Hope Mkhize. Well done girls! Thanks to all the spectators, teachers and parents as well as sponsors who are making this league possible.
DHS Cricket
Exciting times for DHS cricket this past week! DHS is proud to announce that the boys are extreme fighters to the end. They had a very close game against Vryheid High and unfortunately lost by two wickets with 4 balls left.
