Sarel Cilliers Class of 2008 Celebrate Reunion in Style

The day was followed by a more structured reunion ceremony at Ingudlane Game Lodge where the group enjoyed each other’s company.

Travelling from different parts of the country, a jubilant group from the Sarel Cilliers High School Class of 2008 gathered at the gates of the school at 11am, Saturday, September 29, in order to celebrate their 10-year reunion. The day started with what they described as a very exciting tour around the school campus. The tour was guided by the current deputy principal of the school, Mr Soobramoney.

He took the group through the face-lifted school grounds, upgraded science lab, as well as the renovated school hall, where most of the attendants literally last sat with each other for their final Matric exam in 2008.
The day was followed by a more structured reunion ceremony at Ingudlane Game Lodge where the group enjoyed each other’s company, walked down memory lane and enjoyed a very well-prepared three-course lunch in the company of Mr and Mrs Van Staden (the then vice-principal and his wife), as well as Mrs Vermaak, their favourite English teacher and old friend. The day was a wonderful opportunity to look back at old memories that now influence their daily lives and careers.

The day was closed off with an after-party celebration that lasted until 3am at a local social spot in Dundee, called 20 Lifestyle, and on Sunday afternoon the lot travelled back to provinces where they are based.
