Celebrate World Hospice and Palliative Care Day with Estcourt Hospice Association

To commemorate World Hospice and Palliative Care Day on October 13, Estcourt Hospice Association will be arranging a march through the central business district in Estcourt to create awareness.
The starting time is 9am at Hospice House, 46 Beechwood Road and finishes there.

Free blood pressure and diabetes screening and testing will be available on the day between 10am and 12pm.
The theme for this year is ‘Palliative care – because I matter’. This speaks to the individual experience of people directly affected by serious illness.

It highlights the importance of listening to people directly affected when planning healthcare policies and individual care and involving them in service planning, advocacy, communications and governance in hospice and palliative care worldwide.
