Moving forward to 2019 on a high note

The Cancer Support Group held its final meeting for 2018 on Saturday.

Although a small number of people attended, a fruitful and interactive discussion was held. To commence the meeting, Ramika Peerbhay recapped the year, saying that successful meetings were held.

She also encouraged those present to recruit more people to accompany the senior citizens and support group to Durban on December 2.

Members agreed to continue hosting separate meetings from the ARK Support Group but to show their support by attending the meetings. Ideas for the 2019 Relay for Life were also discussed.

Activities for cancer survivors were listed and it was unanimously agreed that survivors would render a song this year. It was also mentioned that the number of caregivers for each survivor should be monitored.

The Cancer Support Group will host their 2019 meetings in March, June, August and November.
