Estcourt resident pleas for correct waste disposal

The pungent smell hangs in the air for hours, making it unbearable for those who have to work close by

“It’s been three months since we have complained about this, nothing has been done,” remarked an Estcourt resident when referring to an offending waste skip.

Located at the back of the Estcourt Town Hall, it has become an eyesore for those frequenting the area.

A resident who previously highlighted this in the Estcourt News has reported that no steps have been taken to clean out the waste skip, instead the contents is set alight.

The pungent smell hangs in the air for hours, making it unbearable for those who have to work close by.

The resident, who did not want to be named, citing that people ‘were scared to submit names’ is publicly appealing to the municipality to empty out the waste skip and refrain from burning the contents.
