Dogs and cats up for adoption at Ladysmith kennels

Dogs, puppies, cats and kittens are up for adoption at the kennels, so go and choose a pet that is ideal for you and your family

The Animal Anti-Cruelty League (AACL) would like to extend a huge thank you to Mr and Mrs Rossaw, OBC Chicken, Spar, Pierre Massyn, Mr and Mrs Augustyn, Egerton Primary School and Haasdas for all their contributions. May God bless you!

Dogs, puppies, cats and kittens are up for adoption at the kennels, so go and choose a pet that is ideal for you and your family.

The league is searching for a male, black Labrador dog that was last seen in the Observation Hill area. He is wearing a navy-green collar and his name is Max. If you have seen this dog, please contact the league as soon as possible.

If you would like to be a Good Samaritan and want to donate money towards our furry friends, cash donations can be deposited into the following bank account: Nedbank, Ladysmith, Cheque Account: 1330077512, Branch Code: 133025.

The AACL would like to make it clear that it is only permissible to chain up your dog if your dog is considered to be a “problem”. This is the case if the owner feels that the dog is likely to inflict harm on others or often escapes from the yard. If your dog does not meet the above requirements, then chaining is not an option. If a pet owner chains up their dog, it must be on a running chain, where the dog has enough space to run and has proper shelter.

The league premises is situated on the N11 just before the Limit Hill robots, so pop in for a visit or contact Annamarie Koen on 0761511784 for any enquiries.
