Special day for special-needs children and families at Estcourt Hospital

Local representative from Gift of the Givers Jaaved Khan told the audience that the organisation catered for everyone

What better way to end off the year than with laughter, appreciation and of course gifts?

The special-needs children and their relatives were hosted at Estcourt Provincial Hospital last week for a year-end Christmas party. The Rehabilitation Department partnered with their colleagues and sponsors for a wonderful day of festivities.

Testimonies from the patients and their families were heart-felt and they extended their appreciation to the hospital staff for their medical and personal care.

Parents take time out to enjoy a dance at the Christmas party.

Hospital staff also thanked family members for being attentive of their children and catering for their special needs. The highlight of the day was the sharing of presents.

Business sponsors as well as non-governmental organisation Gift of the Givers ensured that no one left empty-handed.

The organisation donated boxes of diapers, toys and new clothes to the families. Their appreciation was evident as songs and words of thanks were echoed.
