Nine injured after bakkie crash

Paramedics found that nine people had been injured, including two children

Nine people were left injured on the afternoon of December 23 following a bakkie rollover on the N3 near the Tugela River.

“ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene shortly after 4pm to find the bakkie on the side of the road. Several people that had been travelling on the back of the vehicle were found scattered around the scene,” commented ER24’s Russel Meiring.

On closer inspection, paramedics found that nine people had been injured, including two children. Paramedics assessed the patients and found the injuries sustained ranged from minor to serious.

“The patients were treated for their injuries and were thereafter transported to Ladysmith Provincial Hospital for further care. The details surrounding this incident are not yet known to our paramedics,” added Mr Meiring.
