In Frere last night, protestors destroyed a part of the road using pick axes

The past 24-hours have been fraught with tension as service delivery protests spilled onto the road on the R013.

The R103 near Mimosadale and Frere were the scenes of fiery protests yesterday and both roads remain closed this morning.
