Warning: You can receive a fine for setting off fireworks
"We understand when fireworks are set off during the festive season and on days such as Diwali and Guy Fawkes, but it doesn’t seem to be coming to an end"

Social media groups and WhatsApp groups have been abuzz with people complaining about fireworks being let off day and night, long after the festive season has come and gone.
Acaciavale resident Ismail Mohammed says it has become an issue and he is concerned about the safety of his dogs and also other animals.
“We understand when fireworks are set off during the festive season and on days such as Diwali and Guy Fawkes, but it doesn’t seem to be coming to an end. We were prepared during the festive season, as we knew to put our dogs on tranquillisers and secure them in an area where they could remain calm. However, the fireworks are still going off, sending our pets into a wild panic,” says an unhappy Ismail.
