Watch: People left homeless after storm hits Ladysmith

Many roofs were blown off and some homes collapsed under the onslaught of the storm

“We are just praying that we get help, as we are homeless after the storm on Saturday evening,” says Umbulwane resident Hlengiwe Msimanga.

Many people are without a roof over their head and battling to survive after the freak storm that tore through the Ladysmith area on Saturday (February 2).

Umbulwane, Steadville and the surrounding areas were badly affected.

Many roofs were blown off and some homes collapsed under the onslaught of the storm. Children are wandering around without clothes and shoes, as all their clothes are trapped under the rubble.
