Small business donates big

"We would really appreciate it if Endumeni Municipality can lease us a piece of land so we can develop it hence creating jobs opportunities for the unemployed" cited Bongani Mlambo.

A local catering company in Sibongile has donated to two local businesses and to a school in Msinga.

Maphise Holdings has gone above and beyond to prove that even small companies can lend a helping hand to the community. Bongani Mlambo, the co-owner ofMaphise Holdings said that: “We as local businesses need to help where we can especially by means of developing the community”.

Maphise Holdings donated a microwave and a freezer to a local restaurant in Sibongile called Kasi Corner. They also donated school shoes to underprivileged kids in Mkhulunyelwa Primary School in Wasbank and also sponsored a soccer kit to Sibusiso United, a ladies soccer team in Sibongile.

A thrilled Sanele Buthelezi, the owner of Kasi Corner, commented: “I really appreciate what Bongani and Maphise Holdings have done for they have really changed my life by donating the microwave and freezer. These two appliances will make my life a whole lot easier, thank you very much”.

In conclusion, Bongani pleaded with the municipality ‘to intervene and help them by leasing out to them a piece of land.’ He explained:” There is so much that we as a company want to do for the community but being a small company there is only so much we can achieve. We would really appreciate it if Endumeni Municipality can lease us a piece of land so we can develop it hence creating jobs opportunities for the unemployed”.
Maphise Holdings will continue doing what it can to help communities to prosper and help those who need a helping hand.
