Flow of Buffalo River picks up

A lot more rain is needed to ease the drought

After running virtually dry at the beginning of the year, the flow of the Buffalo River has picked up slightly.

Following good rain falls up stream, the river, from where Endumeni extracts its water, was flowing stronger yesterday at the Rorke’s Drift bridge.

Severe water restrictions remain in place in Endumeni as a lot more rain is needed to ease the drought.
