Spioenkop Dam reaches 100% and is overflowing

Dam levels in the Ladysmith area have picked up drastically

All this rain that has been falling has succeeded in filling up Spioenkop Dam to 100% in the last two weeks.

The rain has brought smiles to many faces, as dam levels in the Ladysmith area have picked up drastically. Farmers are also delighted, as the rivers are high.

Spioenkop is currently on 100.1% and Driel Barrage on 98.3%.

Woodstock Dam and Sterkfontein are also nearing 100%, being on 92.4% and 93.6% respectively.

The lowest dam in KZN is still Albert Falls on 41%.
