Wine & Dine at BlackRock Casino

Wine lovers were treated to a special evening of fi ne wine and scrumptious food, at the monthly Wine and Dine at Blackrock Casino, on April 18.

The evening showcased an exclusive four-course meal with a wine pairing, with the winery chosen for the evening being the Cathedral Peak Wine Estate.

A diff erent menu is created for each event to highlight the talents of Blackrock Casino’s Executive Chef, Gary Smith and his team.

The Menu

Appetizer: Creme fresh and white wine mussels, with herb and garlic brochette, paired with a 2015 Cellar Door wine.

Starter: Rissotto, slow braised in rich vegetable stock, complimented by wild portobellino and shiitake mushrooms,
paired with a 2018 Pinotage Jerepigo.

Main: Slow braised Moroccan lamb shank with tender garden harvest, crushed jacket potato in a rich red wine minted jus, paired with a 2015 Pinotage Reserve.

Dessert: Deconstructed lemon meringue pie, paired with a 2018 Merlot Jerepigo.

You can experience and enjoy a four course meal and wine pairing at the monthly Wine and Dine evenings. The
next occasion is on May 17, at Blackrock Casino. Tickets are priced at R250 per person.
