Within minutes, paramedics rushed to a collision scene on the Amajuba Pass, which left one person injured.

“He was assessed on scene by paramedics, and taken to a nearby hospital for further care.”

In a separate incident shortly afterwards, two vehicles collided on the N11 at the Dannhauser intersection.

Six people sustained minor to moderate injuries.

The day’s final incident took place at around 8pm, with Watco and other services responding to a serious collision on the N11, this time near the Ngagane turn-off.

“On arrival, paramedics found a bakkie had overturned. Nine people sustained moderate to serious injuries,” concluded van Vuuren.

The injured were taken to Madadeni Provincial Hospital, where they are currently being treated.
