Final election results in: IFP gains ground in KZN at the expense of the ANC and NFP
The ANC and the NFP lost seat in the KZN Legislature

The Electoral Commission has announced the National and Provincial Elections 2019.
In KZN, the The African Transformation Movement gets its first Provincial seat. Oopularly known as ATM, is a political party in South Africa. It is led by Vuyolwethu Zungula, leader and party president. It was formed with the backing of the South African Council of Messianic Churches in Christ, which together are supported by millions of congregants, according to the party’s official website.
Following local government elections result trends, the NFP took a knock losing five seats with the IFP gaining 4. The ANC also took a loss – and is down eight seats. The IFP is now the official opposition in KZN although the DA did increase its number of seats from 10 to 11.
In KwaZulu-Natal:
- The African Transformation Movement with one (1) seat (new)
- The African Christian Democratic Party with one (1) seat (up 1)
- The Minority Front with one (1) seat (no change)
- The National Freedom Party with one (1) seat (down 5)
- The Economic Freedom Fighters with eight (8) seats (up 6)
- The Democratic Alliance with eleven (11) seats (up 1)
- The Inkatha Freedom Party with thirteen (13) seats (up 4)
- The African National Congress with forty four (44) seats – down 8.
In the Eastern Cape:
- The African Transformation Movement with one (1) seat
- The Vryheidsfront Plus with one (1) seat
- The United Democratic Movement with two (2) seats
- The Economic Freedom Fighters with five (5) seats
- The Democratic Alliance with ten (10) seats
- The African National Congress with forty four (44) seats
In the Free State:
- The Vryheidsfront Plus with one (1) seat
- The Economic Freedom Fighters with four (4) seats
- The Democratic Alliance with six (6) seats
- The African National Congress with nineteen(19) seats
In Gauteng:
- The African Christian Democratic Party with one (1) seat
- The Inkatha Freedom Party with one (1) seat
- The Economic Freedom Fighters with eleven (11) seats
- The Democratic Alliance with twenty (20) seats
- The African National Congress with thirty seven (37) seats
In Limpopo:
- The Vryheidsfront Plus with one (1) seat
- The Democratic Alliance with three (3) seats
- The Economic Freedom Fighters with seven (7) seats
- The African National Congress with thirty eight (38) seats
In Mpumalanga:
- The Vryheidsfront Plus with one (1) seat
- The Democratic Alliance with three (3) seats
- The Economic Freedom Fighters with four (4) seats
- The African National Congress with twenty two (22) seats
In the North West:
- The Vryheidsfront Plus with two (2) seats
- The Democratic Alliance with four (4) seats
- The Economic Freedom Fighters with six (6) seats
- The African National Congress with twenty one (21) seats
In the Northern Cape:
- The Vryheidsfront Plus with one (1) seat
- The Economic Freedom Fighters with three (3) seats
- The Democratic Alliance with eight (8) seats
- The African National Congress with eighteen (18) seats
In the Western Cape:
- Al-jamah with one (1) seat
- The Vryheidsfront Plus with one (1) seat
