Vryheid’s High Street Bridge takes shape

The primary contractor, TK Gutters, has currently started working on the roadworks.

Locals who passed by the High Street Bridge site this Monday were met with the great sight of the large heap of earth that had been there for months having been completely brought down.

This, of course is a positive sign as contractors had been working on the trench that has a pipe that conceals electrical cables that transmit electricity to some of the homes around the Hospital part of town for months and had been struggling against rainy weather.

According to High Street Bridge committee member, Harry Heyns, the contractor worked hard to ensure that everything was completed over one day in order to avoid cable theft.
The primary contractor, TK Gutters, has currently started working on the roadworks and the committee is hoping to see the project drawing nearer to an end soon.
