Warning: Chaining up your dogs will land you in big trouble

League workers are out in full force, driving around and monitoring the situation, so beware

The Animal Anti-Cruelty League (AACL) has attended to numerous cases recently regarding dogs being chained up in Ladysmith and surrounding areas.

If you did not know, dogs are NOT allowed to be kept on a chain and offenders will be charged.

According to the AACL, league workers are out in full force, driving around and monitoring the situation.

“Heed this warning: Offenders will be caught! We will not accept this kind of cruelty being inflicted upon innocent, helpless animals and offenders will not be ignored by us,” says an adamant Annamarie Koen of the AACL.

If you know of any pet owners who are keeping their dogs chained up, please notify the league so that the necessary action can be taken.
