This suspect is wanted for robbery and attempted rape.

The Newcastle FCS (Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences) Unit is appealing to residents for help apprehending a criminal suspect.

The suspect is wanted for robbery and attempted rape, following an incident on May 21 in an open field near the Spoornet train tracks. The suspect is a black male between 25 and 30 years old, medium in complexion and of height between 1.60 metres to 1.65m.

Anyone who has seen or knows the whereabouts of the suspect, are requested to contact Investigating Officer, Sergeant QW Williams on 082 376 3081.
