Here’s a look at some of the stories that were making headlines this week in 1991

1. Deputy Minister of Police Mr Scheepers visited Bruntville as part of a province-wide visit to areas identified as ‘hot spots’

2. Police were investigating a case of rape after two females who were standing at a garage in Albert Street alleged that the occupants of a taxi driver offered them a lift and drove towards Loskop. The women alleged they were raped by the driver and another man.

3. Estcourt’s Brian Taylor was selected to play for the Natal A hockey side and received the Player of the Tournament trophy.


4. Lynette Moor, Desire Carroll and Celeste Dennison successfully passed their Unisa Grade I, IV and II exams and are pictured with their proud educator Ilse van der Walt.
