Joining hands to make great things happen

Thanks to the generosity of a business sponsor, Estcourt Round Table 74 was able to help Thembelisha Care Project

When partnerships are formed, great things can happen. This was evident when Estcourt Round Table 74 received a call for help from Thembelisha Care Project. The organisation was in desperate need of new freezers.

“Their current freezers were giving problems and they also did not have enough space for all the food they had been given,” explained Round Tabler Justin Sutherland.

The Tablers set about assisting Thembelisha Care Project and reached out to a trusted local.

“We approached Ian Marx from Pick ‘n Pay, who has been a big supporter of Estcourt Round Table 74, and asked him if he could help. Ian was quick to agree and was on the phone to head office to see how they could help us out,” added Mr Sutherland.

The result was a positive one, with Pick ‘n Pay sponsoring R5000 towards purchasing new freezers. The Tablers contributed extra funds and altogether, three 550-litre freezers were purchased for Thembelisha Care Project. The handover of the brand new freezers took place on June 13.

“Pick ‘n Pay assisted with the delivery of all three freezers directly to the premises. Round Table and Pick ‘n Pay received many thanks for this big contribution, which will help many people with food for years to come,” concluded Mr Sutherland.
