Your blood can save three lives
The blood drive is open until 6.30pm today, so those who work can also make their contribution.
The South African National Blood Service is currently hosting a blood drive at the St James Anglican Church.
SANBS is in dire need of blood, to boost provincial stocks, and is calling on all residents to make a donation. A single donation of a pint of blood, can save three lives.
The SANBS blood drive will continue until 6.30pm, which leaves residents plenty of time to give selflessly. To be eligible to donate blood, you must be between 16 and 75 years old, weight a minimum of 50kg, be in good health, have eaten a meal at most four hours earlier, and should lead a safe sexual lifestyle.
If you miss out on today’s drive, remember the Sathya Sai Organisation will also host a blood donor drive on Sunday, between 10am and 3pm, at the Dundee Boulevard Centre.
