According to police, the case regarding the murder of Mayor Vincent Madlala’s son is still under investigation. The mayor’s son, S’boniso Madlala, was killed in a shooting in the Ezakheni area on May 21.
28-year-old S’boniso, together with two friends, were shot near the mayor’s home.
It is believed he was caught in a roadside ambush, but managed to drive his way through. S’boniso managed to get to his father, who rushed him into Ladysmith. He had been shot multiple times and succumbed to his injuries.
No arrests have been made for the murder.
