No arrests made for death of Nigerian man in Ladysmith

According to police, the case is still under investigation

Police are still investigating after a 33-year-old Nigerian man was found dead at his home in Kandahar Avenue in the early hours of Friday morning, June 14. No arrests have yet been made.

The very same day, the Nigerian community of Ladysmith staged a protest in Kandahar Avenue, demanding answers as to what really happened. They also went to Ladysmith police station.

Speaking to Lieutenant Colonel Thulani Zwane of the KZN Media Centre, he confirmed the discovery of the man’s body on June 14 at about 4.20am. Police officers had gone to the house in Kandahar Avenue to search for drugs and found a deceased male lying on the floor.
