It is all a matter of science at Ichthus

To celebrate Science Week, Ichthus Christian School hosted a day of experiments to celebrate the miracles created by God.

On August 1, learners from Grade RR to Grade 7 had a fun morning observing and participating in several science experiments at Ichthus Christian School.

God’s wonderful creation was explored with enthusiasm. To celebrate Science Week, Ichthus Christian School hosted a day of science experiments to celebrate the miracles created by God, with seven stations set up in the hall and each point facilitated by a teacher.

Learners moved from station to station, where teachers caught their attention. Between bobbing cranberries in soda water, moving tin cans with inflated balloons, using water, pencils and a battery to produce hydrogen gas, and much more, the Ichthus staff tried to awake young minds to think and ask questions.

Principal of Ichthus, Mrs. Viljoen is very proud of her team of teachers, who have developed a keen interest and expertise in scientific methods, thus preparing learners for life. All the learners watched the experiments in awe and Ichthus is sure that one day there will be a few enthusiastic Ichthus scientists out there in the world.

“It was truly a fun learning experience. All the honour and glory to God.”
