The man who went on a shooting spree earlier this year died yesterday morning (September 5) in Ladysmith.
Dave Yates (56) died in his holding cell in Ladysmith prison.
The deceased was charged with murder after allegedly killing two foreign nationals and injuring one other in a shooting spree in July. The victims are believed to be drug dealers.
According to sources, Yates’ cellmate called for assistance, but the murder accused could not be revived. It is alleged that he suffered a heart attack.
