Ladysmith Tactical Response Team (TRT) and Bergville Visible Policing officers arrested a murder suspect on Friday afternoon (September 6).
Police were conducting an operation when they received a tracker signal from a stolen vehicle. Officers rushed out to the Emmaus area of Bergville, where a vehicle was seized.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the vehicle was stolen in March of this year in the Emashiselweni Reserve, where the owner (70) was killed.

The driver of the stolen vehicle was immediately arrested and charged for possession of suspected stolen property. He also faces charges of murder and robbery that were opened at Besters police station.
The suspect appeared in court yesterday (Monday, September 9).
