Karel Vern is another lucky winner of a R100 voucher from Roman’s Pizza Vryheid, after being nominated as the Herald’s Star of the Week.
He took it upon himself to clean alongside Mason Street, cutting the grass and clearing the verges of rubble and weeds.
Karel also donated a ‘No Littering’ sign and erected it alongside the street.
He was hailed as a man with dignity and pride, showing residents of Vryheid that one person can make a difference, and how working together can make a difference.
His voucher from Roman’s Pizza is valid only at the Vryheid branch of the franchise.
