DHS sport teams shine once again

DHS would like to congratulate Sifiso Khanyile for being chosen as the Player of the Tournament.

DHS athletes shine at KZN Championships
On Thursday afternoon, March 5, a total of 14 DHS athletes travelled to Durban to take part in the KZN Championships.
DHS’s athletes did very well!

Asanda Thungo earned a silver medal for long jump and Andiswa Zama received a silver for shot-put.
In al die items waaraan DHS atlete deelgeneem het, het hulle deurgedring na finale rondtes toe waar hulle almal in die top agt van die provinsie geƫindig het.

The school extends a big thank you to Mr and Mrs Muller for driving the athletes there and back, and to all the coaches (especially Mr and Mrs Visser) who helped the athletes be successful at the championships.

St Dominics Preseason Hockey Tournament
The first and second boys hockey teams travelled to Newcastle to take part in the annual hockey tournament.
The DHS first team beat Vryheid High, Newcastle High and Sarel Cilliers.
The team lost against Ferrum and St Dominics and in the final, unfortunately lost 1-0 against St Doms.

Sifiso Khanyile is crowned the top player of the St Doms hockey tournament.

The second team also put up a good fight and finished fourth overall.
