How seriously are locals taking the national lockdown?

Pedestrians and even hitchhikers can be seen moving around the Dundee and Glencoe areas.

People can still be seen moving on the streets of Dundee, despite the 21-day national lockdown which came into effect at midnight.

Some were seen hitchhiking on Victoria Street, while several cars were seen parked adjacent to the infamous Coronation Park. Groups of pedestrians were also seen moving around Glencoe, in spite of calls to stay indoors in a bid to stem the Covid-19 pandemic.

SAPS officials are manning road blocks on the N11 and on the main Dundee/Glencoe road.
