Gift of the Givers provide a hearty meal for the homeless

The meals will be distributed at supper time and will be done for the remainder of the lockdown

As part of Covid-19 disaster management, Gift of the Givers Estcourt will be providing a hot meal for 80 homeless people in two areas of Estcourt.

They are housed in two public halls – the Estcourt Town Hall and Colita Community Hall.

The meals will be distributed at supper time and will be done for the remainder of the lockdown.

“While handing out the meals, all requirements are enforced. We ensure that everyone’s hands are sanitised before collecting the meal and they all maintain a safe distance from each other. We also gave 20 blankets to those at the Colita Hall, as they did not have any,” said Jaaved Khan from the Gift of the Givers Estcourt branch.
