Covid-19 screening and education kicks off in eMabhalononi

Awareness and prevention strategies were also imparted

Mass Covid-19 screening and testing rolled out in eMabhalononi (Ward 23) from Saturday (April 11).

Health workers visited residents at their homes where those that showed signs in of illness were tested.

According to the stakeholders, which included government departments and political leadership, the screenings were well-received by the community.

Awareness and prevention strategies were also imparted.

In addition, a road safety campaign was held in eMabhalononi where passing drivers were given pamphlets containing information about the coronavirus as well as the regulations governing transport during the national lockdown.
