Lightning strike sets tree alight on Bulwer Street

A lightning strike left a tree on fire, causing panic among residents near the Soni Flats on Bulwer Street.

The fire began to grow steadily in the tree’s branches, promoting residents to contact the fire brigade. Volunteers also rushed in to try and extinguish the flaming fronds.

Thankfully, the storm picked up and the rains saw the fire extinguished.
