SASSA system glitch leaves many frustrated
Grant recipients left waiting after system glitch
Expect another day of long queues around towns after a system glitch left many recipients without the SASSA grants yesterday.
SASSA have staggered their payouts in light of the Covid-19 pandemic, in an effort to decrease the number of people queuing up to receive their grant.
Yesterday was set aside for pension payouts while tomorrow was set aside for child grants.
However, a system glitch in KZN meant many recipients had to be turned away without receiving anything.
In a press release issued yesterday, SASSA apologised for the issue and promised that payments would proceed today for all those affected.
