Sanitizing project branches out in Weenen

A solution of water and biocide, as well as water and bleach, was sprayed in areas with high levels of activity

As the country transitions into stage four of the national lockdown, Inkosi Langalibalele Local Municipality remains committed to sanitizing densely-populated areas.

Last week, a team consisting of staff from the Fire & Waste departments sanitized areas in Weenen that had been identified as ‘critical’.

Staff from the fire and waste departments were in Weenen to sanitize various areas.

A solution of water and biocide, as well as water and bleach, was sprayed in areas with high levels of activity. Municipal Manager Patrick Mkhize says the municipality is playing its part in an attempt to curtail the spread of the deadly coronavirus.

The Estcourt central business district (CBD) was previously sanitized and Mr Mkhize said the municipal teams intended on sanitizing every area within the municipal boundary.
