How full are the dams in the Ladysmith area?

Water levels in nearby dams are still looking good as we head into winter

With the lockdown firmly in place, many of you might be wondering what’s happening out at nearby dams and how full they are.

As we head into winter, dam levels are still looking good in the Ladysmith area.

Spioenkop Dam, which supplies parts of Ladysmith with water, is on an impressive 99.7%.

Driel Barrage is on 92.5% and Woodstock Dam 98%.

Wagendrift Dam is a whopping 100.4%, with Sterkfontein Dam on 93.4%.

The lowest dam in the KZN region is Pongolapoort on 43.6%.
