Car collides with cow along R34 Melmoth road

Motorists are warned to be vigilant regarding stray animals along this road

The R34 Melmoth road is well known for stray cattle, especially during the winter months. KwaZulu-Natal Private Ambulance Services responded to a motor vehicle accident on Monday night involving a collision with a cow. At the scene, the crew found one person who had sustained moderate injuries. The man was stabilised by the paramedic team and taken to hospital for further care. The cow sadly succumbed to its injuries. Motorists are warned to be vigilant regarding stray animals along this road.
