One dead, two injured after collision on the Wembezi Road

When emergency workers arrived on scene, they found that one person had sustained fatal injuries and died before paramedics arrived

In less than 72 hours, the Wembezi road has been the scene of another vehicle crash.

During the early hours of this morning (May 31), paramedics were called out to a crash scene along this busy road.

Like the collision on Friday, two vehicles were involved.

When emergency workers arrived on scene, they found that one person had sustained fatal injuries and died before paramedics arrived.

“Paramedics assessed the scene and found that one occupant was critically injured and entrapped. The patient was stabilised on scene and extricated from the vehicle. Another occupant sustained minor injuries and was also treated on scene. Both patients were transported to hospital for further treatment,” commented Kwazulu Private Ambulance Service spokesperson Craig Botha.
