Traffic department remains closed

"A new date will be communicated to the public after the Department of Transport completes the inspection"

The public is advised that the Licensing & Traffic Department in Loskop Road will not open just yet.

With most services resuming as the country moves to level 3 lockdown, expectations were that this department would also be operational.

Municipal Manager Patrick Mkhize said that the delay in opening the Licensing & Traffic Department was due to an inspection that would be conducted by the Department of Transport.

“A new date will be communicated to the public after the Department of Transport completes the inspection and gives the Inkosi Langalibalele Traffic Department the go-ahead to operate. We apologise for the inconvenience,” said Mr Mkhize.
