Colourful celebration of Africa Day

The Girl Guides and Scouts, under the leadership of Guider Deborah Gamede, dressed up in their finest traditional wear to commemorate the day

Africa Day was proudly and colourfully celebrated on May 25.

People from around the world celebrated African heritage and so too did the members of the Zanibusa Unit.

The Girl Guides and Scouts, under the leadership of Guider Deborah Gamede, dressed up in their finest traditional wear to commemorate the day. Besides learning about the meaning of Africa Day and dressing according to the theme, this was also a way for the young members to beat Covid-19 lockdown boredom.

The small group of children have been keeping busy since the lockdown was announced in March and have successfully completed a number of tasks assigned to them by the Malta Girl Guide Movement.
