Memel Police Station records first case of Covid-19

"The building will be undergoing decontamination and the community will be informed once the station is operational again."

After the closure of Madadeni and Osizweni Police Stations, a couple of days ago, because of police officials testing positive for the Covid-19 virus, the Memel Police Station has also closed as they reported their first case this week.

“The police station has been closed after a member tested positive for the virus. The building will be undergoing decontamination and the community will be informed once the station is operational again,” stated Colonel Mbambo, spokesperson for the Free State Province SAPS.

The police station will temporarily operate from the corner of General De Jager Street and General Botha Street.

For any crime incidents and complaints, residents are urged to contact 056-924 8800, or contact the Station Commander, Captain Mdluli on 082-466 8326.
