Okhahlamba Municipality closes as employee tests positive for Covid-19

The main building offices will be closed until July 8 to allow for decontamination and sanitizing

Okhahlamba Local Municipality in Bergville will be temporarily closed after an employee tested positive for Covid-19.

The municipality alerted residents via a message on its Facebook page last night (July 3).

Municipal Manager Nkosingiphile Malinga said that the main building offices will be closed until July 8 to allow for decontamination and sanitizing.

Services at other offices will continue as usual.

“The Department of Health has been alerted and contact tracing is currently underway. As a municipality, we are committed to ensuring the safety of all of our employees and residents, and we appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate through this challenging period,” added Mr Malinga.
