NEWCASTLE KZN: Blood donors help NKZN reach 114% of its target

New and regular donors are encouraged to give the 'gift of life' at clinics during June.

The Northern KwaZulu-Natal branches of the South African National Blood Service (SANBS) exceeded the region’s blood donation target for May.

SANBS in NKZN achieved 114,34% of the month’s target and was bettered only slightly by the Midlands region (116,46%). Donors in the area are thanked for their commitment and selflessness.

Upcoming blood clinic dates for June are as follows:

June 8 – Siyamukela High School/ Ziphakamiseni High

June 9 – Memel

June 10 – St Oswalds Secondary

June 12, 19 and 27 – Theku Plaza

June 13, 20 and 27 – Amajuba Mall

June 15 – Newcastle High

June 16 – World Blood Donor Day: Eyethu Junction (Madadeni), Village Walk, Theku Plaza

June 17 – Dedangifunde High

June 20 and 29 – Newcastle Corner

June 22 and 29 – Village Walk

June 24 – Pick n Pay Family

June 28 – Eyethu Junction

June 30 – Amajuba High

Blood clinics are open from 10am to 4pm unless specified, and remain subject to change.
