Sentraal Rugby Club had a good weekend against Volkrust with both the first and second teams coming home victorious in games played at the Newcastle Highlanders grounds.

The second team romped home 41-7 with N Khumalo, N Botha, A Shongweni, M Mabaso and T Hlomeka all crossing Volksrust’s try line.

The first team returned a 2806 win with tries by Brandon Biyela, Steps Mngadi, Donell Griffiths and Quanda Majuba. Willem Husselman was successful with four conversions. Sentraal thanked Derrick Basson for his generous sponsorship of three match balls.

On Saturday, Sentraal will clash with old rivals, Vryheid, with both the second and first teams kicking off at Dundee High School. Make sure you get down there and support our local rugby team.
