NEWCASTLE KZN: Two seriously injured as train collides with vehicle
Both patients were treated at the scene before being transported to hospital.
Two people were seriously injured after the vehicle they were travelling in collided with a train at a railway crossing near the Utrecht turn-off.
According to a source at the scene, the vehicle was driving over the crossing when it was struck by the train.
Both occupants were treated by paramedics at the scene before being transported to hospital for further medical care.
The exact cause of the collision is still unclear at this stage and will remain subject to police investigation.
